I just updated my TweetDeck desktop app to the new version 0.37.0. One of its major features is support for tweets longer than the 140-character limit that Twitter imposes. If you tweet longer than that, the whole text shows up in TweetDeck. On Twitter itself, it’s truncated at 140 characters with a link that takes you to Twitter’s new deck.ly service.
I’d not seen this before – it’s a full user presence on the TweetDeck website.
Is TweetDeck developing its own platform? Looks like it.
